John the Baptist's

Read Luke 1:57-66.
We traveled to the Judean
Hills where the traditional site
is for John the Baptist's home is
located. The is the altar of the
church that occupies the area.

Shepherd's Fields

Read Luke 2:8-20. What did
the Shepherds do once they
saw Jesus? Should we be doing
the same thing? These fields
are not far from the Nativity
scene. The streets were very
crowded today. The sad part is
that at one end of the Nativity
Square is the Church of the Nativity
and at the other end is a Mosque.

Nativity

Read Matthew 1:17 & Luke 2:1-7
This cave is the place where Jesus is
believed to have been born. It is
located in the "Church of the Nativity"
which is the oldest church in the
world. The star has fourteen points
representing the 14 generations from
Abraham to David. I touched the star.
The Greek Orthodox altar is over
the Nativity, and Arminian altar is to the
left, and next to this is a RC Church in which we sang "Away in the Manger"
and "Hark the Herald".
